Agentic work at Flash cost
Built for multi-step tool use, long-horizon agent loops, and workloads where output price decides whether a feature ships.
The released version of Space Bunny
MiniMax M3.1 Flash is the model that ran anonymously as Space Bunny before its official release on . Free on TokenRa until October 31, 2026: $0/M input and $0/M output (MiniMax list price: $0.15/M input, $0.60/M output). Call it through TokenRa with one OpenAI-compatible key.
MiniMax published MiniMax M3.1 Flash on October 19, 2026 as its next-generation Flash model for agentic tasks, coding, computer use, and cybersecurity. In the same release post MiniMax confirmed that Space Bunny was an early version of MiniMax M3.1 Flash, running anonymously while it handled roughly 200 trillion tokens.

Evaluation settings as stated by MiniMax: Automation-Bench on its 600 public tasks; BankerToolBench with the OpenCode 1.17.18 harness and MiniMax-M2.7 as judge; GDP.pdf AA taken from Artificial Analysis; Terminal Bench 4.0 with Codex 0.149.1; Agents' Last Exam limited to full-set results on the official leaderboard; OSWorld 2.0 on the 0808 Full release, with the DeepSeek V4.1 Flash score from MiniMax's own reproduction; DeepSWE v1.1 with mini-SWE-agent 2.4.5; PostTrain Bench, NL2Repo-Bench, SWE Refactor Bench, CyberGym and BabyVision with Claude Code; HLE on its 2,158 text-only questions; CharXiv RQ judged by GPT-5.5.
The results are uneven across row groups. M3.1 Flash has the best score in three rows, all agentic office work: Automation-Bench v1.0.6 (62.8), LOCA-Bench 256K (60.3) and BankerToolBench, where it ties Claude Opus 5 at 76.2. It trails on terminal work and repository-scale coding: Terminal Bench 4.0 is 38.1 against 42.3 for DeepSeek V4.1 Flash-1017 and 51.8 for Opus 5, and NL2Repo-Bench is 61.2 against 68.2 and 75.3 for the same two models.
MiniMax also charted M3.1 Flash at each reasoning-effort setting. The comparison-table scores for Automation-Bench and DeepSWE (62.8 and 73.7) are the max setting, and on Automation-Bench every setting cost less than $0.05 per task.
| Reasoning effort | Automation-Bench v1.0.6 | DeepSWE v1.1 |
|---|---|---|
| Low | 52.8 | – |
| Medium | 57.7 | – |
| High | 59.2 | 68.1 |
| Xhigh | 61.2 | 72.1 |
| Max | 62.8 | 73.7 |
Source: the Automation-Bench and DeepSWE cost charts in MiniMax's release post. For Agents' Last Exam, MiniMax estimates that the full 152-task run at max effort cost $111 in total for a 29.6% pass rate. MiniMax also reports output speed above 200 TPS, with a P50 above 170 TPS.
Third-party coverage has been less uniform. VentureBeat reported an Intelligence Index score of 42 at maximum reasoning effort against 29 for M3, and also flagged a high hallucination rate, while a Hacker News discussion questioned how well the model's benchmark position survives real use. Both are reasons to evaluate on your own prompts rather than on a leaderboard position.
MiniMax M3.1 Flash is free on TokenRa until October 31, 2026: $0 per 1M input, output, and cached input tokens, with no platform subscription. For reference, MiniMax lists $0.15 per 1M input tokens, $0.60 per 1M output tokens, and $0.015 per 1M cached input tokens, and states that overall usage cost is about 70% lower than its predecessor M3.
| Item | TokenRa rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Input | $0 | Free until Oct 31, 2026. MiniMax list price: $0.15 per 1M input tokens. |

Both are Flash-tier models with a 1M-token context, aimed at cost-sensitive agent and coding work, and both run on the same TokenRa key. DeepSeek's current Flash API model is DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017, released October 17, 2026. DeepSeek has retired V4 Flash, and requests to the old deepseek-v4-flash name now go to the 1017 build. On the six benchmarks where MiniMax's table scores both models, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash-1017 leads five and M3.1 Flash leads Automation-Bench. M3.1 Flash wins on price: its list rate is half of DeepSeek's peak rate, and it is free on TokenRa until October 31, 2026.
| Per 1M tokens | MiniMax M3.1 Flash | DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 |
|---|---|---|
| Input on TokenRa | $0, free until Oct 31, 2026 | $0.209 |
| Output on TokenRa | $0, free until Oct 31, 2026 | $0.836 |
| Cached input on TokenRa | $0, free until Oct 31, 2026 | $0.005 |
| Vendor list price: input | $0.15 | $0.30 peak, $0.15 off-peak |
| Vendor list price: output | $0.60 | $1.20 peak, $0.60 off-peak |
| Vendor list price: cached input | $0.015 | $0.006 peak, $0.003 off-peak |
| When list prices apply | One flat rate at all hours and prompt lengths | Peak is 01:00–04:00 and 06:00–10:00 UTC, Monday to Friday, except Chinese public holidays. All other hours, weekends and those holidays are off-peak at half price. |
| Example: 10M input + 2M output tokens | $0 on TokenRa until Oct 31, 2026; $2.70 at list price | $3.76 on TokenRa; $5.40 at peak or $2.70 off-peak at list price |
| Context window | 1M tokens | 1M tokens, up to 384K output |
| Released | October 19, 2026 | October 17, 2026 |
Sources: MiniMax pricing and DeepSeek models & pricing. TokenRa bills DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 at one rate around the clock, about 30% below DeepSeek's peak input and output prices. The example assumes no cache hits. Rates can change; the live console is authoritative.
Yes. MiniMax stated in its October 19, 2026 release post that Space Bunny was an early version of MiniMax M3.1 Flash that ran without a name and processed about 200 trillion tokens. New integrations should use the released identifier, minimax-m3.1-flash. TokenRa's Space Bunny Alpha (stealth version) page covers that earlier build (model ID space-bunny-alpha); it is a different version and entry point of the same MiniMax model, not a second product.
On TokenRa it is free until October 31, 2026: $0 per 1M input, output, and cached input tokens, with no subscription. For reference, MiniMax lists $0.15 per 1M input tokens, $0.60 per 1M output tokens, and $0.015 per 1M cached input tokens, and states that overall usage cost is about 70% lower than M3. Confirm the live rate in the console.
Yes, until October 31, 2026. TokenRa currently lists it at $0 per 1M input and output tokens, with no subscription. Account rate limits still apply, so confirm the live rate in the console and set account-level limits before a larger test.
No. MiniMax bills both M3 and M3.1 Flash per token on its own API, and its pricing page lists no free tier for text models. Two routes have no per-token charge: TokenRa serves MiniMax M3.1 Flash, the successor to M3, at $0 for input, output and cached input until October 31, 2026, and MiniMax publishes the M3 weights on Hugging Face under its own community license, so you can self-host M3 and pay only for your GPUs. Rate limits and license terms still apply.
MiniMax lists MiniMax-M3 at $0.30 per 1M input tokens, $1.20 per 1M output tokens and $0.06 per 1M cached input tokens when the prompt is 512K tokens or less, and at $0.60, $2.40 and $0.12 above 512K. Those prices already include a permanent 50% discount, and the Priority tier costs 1.5 times as much. MiniMax M3.1 Flash costs a flat $0.15 / $0.60 / $0.015 at any prompt length, half of M3's standard rate, and it is free on TokenRa until October 31, 2026.
Not across the board. DeepSeek has retired V4 Flash and now serves its API name with DeepSeek V4.1 Flash-1017, so the current matchup is MiniMax M3.1 Flash, M3's cheaper successor, against DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. On the six benchmarks where MiniMax's comparison table scores both M3.1 Flash and V4.1 Flash-1017, DeepSeek leads five, including DeepSWE v1.1 (77.0 vs 73.7), NL2Repo-Bench (68.2 vs 61.2) and Terminal Bench 4.0 (42.3 vs 38.1), while M3.1 Flash leads Automation-Bench v1.0.6 (62.8 vs 60.5). Against the earlier V4.1 Flash, M3.1 Flash leads most agentic office and computer-use rows, such as OSWorld 2.0 (61.7 vs 54.3). M3.1 Flash is cheaper: its $0.15 / $0.60 list price per 1M tokens equals DeepSeek's off-peak rate and is half its peak rate, and it is free on TokenRa until October 31, 2026. All scores are vendor-reported, so test both on your own prompts.
MiniMax documents a 1M-token context window for MiniMax M3.1 Flash. Confirm the enabled context and completion limits for your account in the console first.
Yes. MiniMax documents multimodal chat input for MiniMax M3.1 Flash, covering text, images, and video, and the model returns text. Send them through the same OpenAI-compatible chat completions endpoint, and test image and video requests on your account before production use.
Yes. Send requests to https://tokenra.io/v1/chat/completions with a TokenRa key and the model identifier minimax-m3.1-flash, so existing OpenAI SDK clients work after changing base_url and model.
Create a TokenRa account, open the dashboard, generate a key, confirm that minimax-m3.1-flash is enabled, then send your first request server-side.
No. It is developed and operated by MiniMax. TokenRa is an independent API gateway and is not the model developer or owner.
